The Google Ads Specialist will be responsible for increasing web rankings and other digital metrics on sites such as Google, YouTube, Yahoo, Bing, Reddit and more. They will develop keywords and phrases to better increase website traffic, and drive high volume organic and paid search growth. This role is all about applying a growth hacking, data-driven development approach towards strategy and results in the SEO world. Your success will have significant, immediate impact on a fast-growing business.

The Google Ads Specialist will need a strong understanding of content marketing principles and be able to incorporate these best practices when crating and optimizing content. They must be a problem solver and decision maker, with the ability to prioritize, multitask, and develop relevant and engaging content.

The Google Ads Specialist will have in-depth knowledge of keyword research, SEO copywriting, and the behaviors of search engines that will serve as a liaison between various departments. As Search is an ever-changing landscape, the Google Ads Specialist will need to be continuously learning and evolving. The ideal candidate will be one who has been a top performer, with personal accountability, teamwork, excellence, and proactive thinking abilities.

Required skills and experience

  • Minimum two years’ experience within SEO and Google Ads
  • Familiarization with website traffic and analytics (including Google Analytics)
  • Demonstrated experience of search engine optimization practices (Yahoo, Bing, Reddit experience a plus)
  • Proficient in Google Analytics, Google Ads, SEO/SEM, PPC, Yahoo/Bing network
  • Exemplary written and verbal communication skills 

Essential Functions

  • Create and execute search advertising campaigns across multiple online channels
  • Communicate (verbal & written) to internal/external clients on SEO campaign progress
  • Able to develop actionable insights from data to make recommendations for optimization

Job duties and responsibilities

  • Develop and implement both on-site and category-specific SEO tactics (eg apparel, beauty, consumer electronics)
  • Implement and monitor search strategy to compete for first page rankings
  • Manage budgets to ensure strategic alignment with client goals
  • Identify, develop and update keywords to drive increased website traffic
  • Perform ongoing keyword discovery, expansion and optimization
  • Create and improve page ranking strategies within multiple search engines
  • Review and analyze client sites for areas of improvement
  • Drive traffic from numerous sources around the web
  • Build and manage PPC campaigns
  • Writing content geared towards ideal consumers, including CTA’s
  • Identify trends and actionable insights to optimize spend and performance KPI’s
  • Measure and report out the effectiveness of various search tactics and KPI’s, including keyword rankings, traffic, revenue and ROI
  • Measure ranking reports and analytics data to make strategic recommendations to improve our rankings
  • Continually investigate changes in Google search rules for optimization and improved search ranking and apply for better results

This candidate will participate in campaign planning meetings to support key organizational initiatives via search, they will serve as search ambassador, monitoring industry trends, and providing training and best practices to drive adoption. The candidate must be ready for a challenge and work well within the team dynamic to passionately meet or exceed their assigned goals

  • Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday 8am-5pm
